5 Reasons October Is One of the Best Months to Live on Florida’s Space Coast

If you live on Florida’s Space Coast, October is when you start remembering why you love living here. While our friends up north are pulling out jackets and raking leaves, we’re entering one of our favorite times of year.

1. The weather starts getting better.The summer heat and humidity finally begin to ease, making mornings and evenings much more enjoyable.

2. It’s perfect beach weather.The crowds are lighter, the water is still inviting, and an October walk along Cocoa Beach is pretty hard to beat.

3. Outdoor season is back.Boating, fishing, biking, golf, outdoor dining—or just sitting on the patio without feeling like you’re melting.

4. There’s always something happening.Fall festivals, farmers markets, community events, football and plenty of reasons to get outside and enjoy Brevard County.

5. We get fall—Florida style.We may not have mountains covered in red and orange leaves, but where else can you grab a pumpkin-spice coffee, wear flip-flops and watch a rocket launch?

October on the Space Coast is a reminder that living here isn’t just about owning a home. It’s about the lifestyle.
